Oct 14, 2015 6:51 AM in response to rossonerisby GhonaZ,There are a number of people that have had the same problems with older and new machines.
Most often a proces or program has gone berserk and uses up all the machines resources (CPU and memory). Open activity monitor and select the CPU tab and look for processes that use a lot of CPU. Check on the internet if the process is essential for the system or that it is an program that can be closed. Like Chrome or Chrome helper for example. Also virusscanners and memory cleaners only use up CPU resources but don't do anything good in return. If you are not sure what causes the problems or the activity monitor shows nothing out of the ordinary please let the forum know!
hope this helps!

Still over 5000rpm on the fans
And the temperature is?
May I suggest that you close all applications and then have only Text Edit or Safari open (in other words, minimum resource usage) and see what temperatures/fan speeds are reported. As I respond to you. my older MBP has a CPU temperature of 44°c and the fans are at default settings. The point is to try and establish if your MBP can operate at a default level.
You might run Apple diagnostics:
