Photos conflict with dropbox

Hi everyone

Im noticing some kind of conflict between apples Photos & Dropbox, Ive got new iPhone 6s and a macbook pro running 10.11. Just mentioning it here as I havent seen anything online yet. It seems to be that if dropbox is running on my laptop then when I plug my iPhone in and it fires up Photos it cant see or import new photos...But when I turn drop box off or I restart my mac then Photos does see new photos and asks if I want to import any...

If anyones experienced something similar be good to know if there is a fix
