you should preview it - Preview a print project in Photos, iPhoto, or Aperture to avoid issues - Apple Support - the printed product will match the preview - and it is good ot save it for comparison with the finished book
You can calculate the DPI of the prints (Pixels of the photo divided by inches of the print) - It should be at least 150 DPI and 300 is better

If you read the link I supplied and follow the instructions it will produce a PDF preview of the book and it will be opened in the Preview application while it is open in Preview you use the file menu ==> save - the same as any other application on a Mac
