Q: windows 10 update locks up in boot camp

My bootcamp microsoft did some sort of update (i think it said a word or office) whilst I was working and when it went to re start up I am just getting a black screen with a flashing white cursor on the left handside!

Really need help as all my work is on that side and did not get a chance to back up as it automatically stated to restart.

Can anyone help me??

Is this Windows Update? Can you boot in Windows Safe Mode?

When I turn on the computer and press alt to get into bootcamp it just goes to a black screen with the cursor does not seem to boot up at all after that so not able to get into any mode that I am aware of!!!

Use Fn+F8 or Fn+Shift+F8 before the Windows logo shows up. Another option is use your original Windows installer and run Windows Repair.

I am not getting as far as the windows sign it just goes to black screen and then nothing else. Haven't go a clue where my windows installer is!

So frustrating
