I have a late 2011 Mac Book Pro that I have just erased the hd and the free space as well. Now when installing the OSX it stays in the setup mode with the grey spinning "Setting Up" spinner and has gone up to 8 hrs and never finishes. There are no discs that I have to install from so Im just using the disk utility and having this issue. I found this link about what to do if your mac stops when setting up but the instructs say to wait for it to finish, but it doesnt seem to.

So what should I do at this point? I have it connected to an ethernet cable and its getting 58 mb per sec.
How long would an install normally take?
