Q: Facebook Messenger App Crash Apple Watch

I recently bought an Apple Watch and installed WatchOS2.  The only problem is that once I click on the Facebook Messenger app, it loads for ages and then it closes.  Does anyone have this problem?  If so, does anyone know how I can fix it?

Yeah. Reseting both my iPhone and Apple Watch worked for me too. All third-party apps are now working on my watch.

    Hi

If you are still experiencing issues with apps not running, it may help to delete all music from your iPhone.

    - On your iPhone, go to: Settings > General > Storage & iCloud Usage > In the Storage section, tap on Manage Storage > Music > Edit (upper-right corner) > delete All Songs.

It may also then help to restart both your iPhone and your watch. Turn both devices off first, then restart your iPhone before restarting your watch:

    - To turn your watch off: press and hold the side button until you see the Power Off slider; drag it to turn off;

    - To turn it on: press and hold the side button until you see the Apple logo.

Music can be added back to your iPhone again afterwards.

I Have the exact same problem. Updated my phone 6 Plus, updated apple watch And the app does not work. I have only had the watch for a week. The app worked good for 1 day then just stopped working. I have tried deleting music, then restoring the iPhone, resetting watch, pairing, in pairing all with no Joy. But frustrating.

    any ideas ?

I Fixed my Apple Watch apps crashing (such as Facebook and itranslat) by deleting all my (85.6GB of) music off my iPhone 6 via general>usage>music and delete and then just hard rebooting watch and phone before syncing music back. Strange how this stops my apps hanging on loading before crashing out but hey, it worked! I tried everything prior to this, from restoring phone and watch and rebooting it and unpairing.

I erased all my music as stated above, and Viola! all my apps worked on apple watch. Apparently you cannot have music on your phone the first time you sync apple watch or apps wont open and crash. Deleting all music restore functionality to watch. i re loaded songs back and watch STILL opens apps. THANKS GUYS!!!! I was about to return my watch.

    Hello!

I had the exact same problem with Facebook Messenger for Apple Watch too! However, I found a solution that worked for me.

On your apple watch, open facebook messenger, and just set it aside.

On your iphone, open facebook messenger. Go to SETTINGS> APPLE WATCH.

Then, change one of your quick replies to whatever you want.

If you look at your apple watch now, Facebook Messenger should work.

Hope this works for you too!

If you have not yet done so, it may help to try the previous suggestions in this thread.
