My mac keeps typing on its own. I click to enter my password and it types a million things so fast and when I click to erase it, it starts again. How do I stop this as I cannot access my computer and I have work to do! Please help!

mac is writing on its own and it's just typing blank characters, as though the space bar is being held down but my keyboard is completely disconnected.

how do I stop this?!

I believe this is a problem with the keyboard connection being corrupted when the Mac goes into sleep mode of an extended period of time.

Work Around

Simply turn off your keyboard (push the power button until green light comes on and continue holding until green light goes out). You should see the message on the Mac that the keyboard connection was lost. Now, turn on the keyboard power by pressing the keyboard power button once. The green light should appear briefly and you should see a keyboard connection restored message on the Mac. Now, you can hit the escape button to remove all characters from the password entry and it will work fine.

I hope this helps.
