how to open my air pad air

My ipad air is completely locked up Been having trouble ever since I installed is09. What's the trick to open it. Tried to hold sleep and home button at the same time, no results. Please advise

iPad Air, iOS 9.0.2

How long did you hold the buttons? It may take as long as possibly 30 seconds of continuous holding of both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons. You may also need to do it multiple times.

Force Restart (won't affect settings/data/music/apps/etc)

1. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button

2. Press and hold the Home button

3. Keep holding both buttons until the display turns off, then back on displaying the Apple logo.

My grandson who is a Apple tech solved this problem. Apparently when I downloaded a new game from Apple they asked if I wanted accessability and I said yes.Some new games are being created for the blind and deaf. When you say yes my ipad was locked up for the use of only the blind and deaf. I should of clicked no. To unlock the ipad you have to double click on every one of the keys of your password at a certain pressure until you get your password. Than you can slide to open the screen and everything is ok. I hope this helps.

Your posting title makes me think of disassembling the iPad (physically) but that's not what you're asking. What do you mean by "open"? Does open mean switching it on? Is the device completely off?
