Hi all,

I get the same error. When i open the camera it opens on back camera but get black screen when i switch to front camera, front camera works ok aand once i switch back the flash error is shown in the corner. i reset phone and still doent work any tips? there is a new camera in it so guess this is a software problem.

Also, I have tried to turn the light on and nothing.

This Same thing happened to my Iphone 6, and It was brought 3 days before, I followed every possible instruction like resetting, restarting, updating, cooling the phone, but nothing worked for me. I decided to take off the sim card and keep it off for 4, 5 hours, I took the sim card out, and decided to try the camera once again, before turning the device off, and with a surprise it showed up and there was no more annoying error. Well I don't think there is some connection between sim card and Camera, but this worked and there is still no issue after one day. Its working just like before.

Had the same issue of camera not working and flash disabled due to overheating. Just came back from the Apple Store and Genius Bar And thought I had to replace the phone as reset and restore did not work. Checked this thread and tried removing the SIM. It worked!!! Both camera and flash are working normally now. Many thanks.

First, reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again. You will not lose any data by resetting, but it can cure some glitches.

If this does not work, and to make sure that this is not software related, set it back to factory settings, without using any backup data afterwards. Set up the rest of the personal settings manually and test the phone.

If the phone works as before the update, restore from the latest backup. If the problem comes back, the backup data contained corrupt data, causing your issues.

If it still does not work, this could be a hardware issue and the phone has to be serviced by Apple or an Authorized Apple Service Provider:
