Duplicate text messages being sent to same person

Sometimes when I send a text message to my daughter, the message goes to one link on her iPhone and at other times I notice that I receive messages from another, duplicate message box, both listed to her. After checking I found that sometimes the message seems to be being sent to or from her iPhone mobile phone number and at other times its sent from, or to, an email address. How do I make it one account?
