Keyboard keys light up??

Obvioulsy my wireless apple keyboard wont light up. Does anyone know of an apple wireless keyboard that has its keypad illuminat? Surely this must be on apples adenda to produce (if there is no pad out there) after all laptops have the keypad illuminat so it makes sense to have the keypad on the keyboard light up as well.

Apologies..this isnt really a problem...just wish apple would do this as it would be really nice to type in bed without sticking a bright light on.

imac-g5 (flat panel), Mac OS X (10.4.2), purchased december 2005

You might want to post feedback directly to Apple via this URL: http://www.apple.com/feedback.

Although there isn't a category for keyboard and mouse, you could pick one of the computer families to post such in.

Interesting suggestion. One issue is whether the continual light up will quickly drain the batteries.

of course it would...but maybe if it has a backlight timer switch on the keypad so you can select how long the light remains on (like the ipod-5seconds for example) the it woudnt be so bad. I rarely lie in bed and use the keyboard - its usually after watching a dvd in the dark and i want to just quickly check my mail.

a high capacity battery that can be charged (and unlike the ipod, can be removed and replaced) could also be a way around this. perhaps the pack could be the size of a mobile phone that plugs into a ipod dock connector usb cable..

The aa lithium batterys in my w.keyboard are coming up to one year of use and theres still three green bars left!!

anyway..yes ill suggest to apple
