Ok, so since IOS 8 I have not been able to get my iPhone to upload photos via photo stream over wifi to iCloud. No change on IOS 9.
Some facts:
- I have checked my iCloud photo library on multiple devices including via the web browser, still no uploads from the iPhone
- Problem has existed for 12 months now
- It must be related to a problem with my iCloud account, as I have just bought a new iPhone, set it up as a new iPhone (not a restore) and it still doesn't upload photos
- In the photos app, it just displayed 'uploading 20 photos' permanently. The old phone had got to the point of having >1000 photos to upload but with no joy....
- sync via cable to my mac gets them into the library
The Genius bar in Sydney were absolutely useless, tried to palm me off with some nonsense story about the fact that it takes a long time....I've left my phone plugged into power and connected to my home wifi for 4 straight days (without leaving the house) and it still doesn't upload a single photo. Call logged with Apple support, I'm still waiting for someone to contact me after 4 weeks.....
Come on Apple, sort it out..
