Q: cant reset ipad2, get error code 9006 at end of download every time i try???
Can anyone help me reset my ipad2.
I have followed online "how to" but at the end of each attempt it says error code 9006 after downloading the software.
Getting to the stage I just want to throw it in the bin and all because my young son put a password on it and cant remember what it was!!!

Two different issues ... 9006 and the passcode.
Check your security software
Errors: 2, 4, 6, 9, 1611, 9006.
Sometimes security software can stop your device from communicating with either the Apple update server or with your device.
Check your security software and settings to make sure that they aren't blocking a connection to the Apple servers.
If you still see the error message, check for USB connection issues.
