Can I spot correct in FCPX?

Hi Everyone,

My skill levels are pretty basic in FCPX, but I do love the program so far.

Is it possible to make "spot corrections"? Perhaps similar to the blur tool or match tool in Photoshop? I have shot some footage but the subject appears to have dark circles under the eyes. Is there anything I can do to correct only that part, So that even though she's moving as part of the forefront of a CGI project, I can still correct that part and it will 'stay' with her throughout the clip?

Spot removal is a bit weird when your'e applying the effect to moving images. You may want to alter the video itself. Ttry searching for MakeUp Artist and similar titles of FCPX plugins. Here is one source:

Have a look at the products of coremelt.com, for your case esp. on their product SliceX, which allows tracking: select your subjects spots, track it, and apply corrections (color, blur, anything avail in FCPX).

Adding to what Karsten said,

Coremelt has now released SliceX Free. This lets you use mocha tracking with oval and rectangular masks, unlimitedly. It is just a small part of the full plugin and you can choose to additionally purchase the full license in the later stages. If you are a new user, you'll be able get the free trial from the website.
