I set the document size e.g. on 1.000 x 1.000px. When I export a slide as an image, the imagesize isn't that resolution and ratio. It's always 1024 x 768px? That's a big problem for me! Anyone can help me. Best Dirk.

I also just noticed this. I have a 1920x1080 (16:9) slide that I want to export as image. If I export it as a JPEG it ends up being 1024x768 (4:3) letterboxed with white bars above and below the image. If I select TIFF for the export the same results with the bars just being alpha channeled out.
I've looked for export settings like Powerpoint has, but couldn't find any.

I'm running into problems exporting slides to images as well. Any images generated using Keynote are now 1024 x 768. I need them to be 1920 × 1080 (1080p). This started when I upgraded to El Capitan and Keynote 6.6(2550).
Definitely is the Keynote 6.6 update that they released yesterday. I've had El Capitan since it was released without this issue.
And if i run Keynote 6.2 this is not an issue, exports images fine from the older version.
I think so too. But is there are a way going back to 6.2?
I have every version of Keynote since Keynote '09 (5.3). When i installed the new version it didn't replace past versions on the harddrive. Take a look in your apps folder and see if that is the case for you as well.
Thank you... I had to restore a 6.5.3-version from my backups. this works for me fine.
So what do you think: Apple will fix it it as a bug?
I'm sure they will be looking into fixing the issue. I hope sooner than later. This is adding steps to my usual workflow.

Hi, I just restored the previous version via Time Machine and everything is back to normal. 1000 x 1000 px Keynote exports as 1000 x 1000 px jpg's.
However, it doesn't work with Keynote documents safed in version 6.6. You will need to revert them via Time Machine es well.
Hopefully a fix for 6.6 will be available soon.
Are you saying your reverted back to an earlier version of Keynote and the feature works. Or you reverted your Keynote presentations to a version that were saved in an older version and now the feature works in Keynote 6.6?
I reverted back to "yesterdays" version of Keynote (the application) via Time Machine. It works for all Keynote documents you haven't safed in 6.6.

This is a huge deal. I can only save in 1024x768 and it just started yesterday with the upgrade.

Is another possibility to export to PDF, and then export that PDF from Preview to png/jpg/tiff?
I second that - this is a serious issue. Images are being exported at less than HD quality - that's almost useless
Just got off the phone with iApps Senior Advisor, she replicated the issue on her side and told me she would make the issue known within Apple. It is indeed an issue with Keynote Version 6.6. I have also emailed Eddy Cue, SVP Internet Software and Services, at Apple about this. We shall see if that helps any with getting a fix.
