if your phone cracks and the glass is getting stuck on your fingers, is that your fault or the company fault?

Today I was getting my things out of my locker. I grabbed my notebook and my IPhone 6 fell face up with a iHome case on it and i watched it shatter all across my phone. However, when i picked it up the glass from the phone kept sticking to my fingers and now i can barely touch my phone with out trying to get stabbed by tiny little pieces of glass. So, is this my fault because i dropped my phone and it cracked. Yes it is. However is it my fault that the glass from the phone is getting stuck on my fingers?

iPhone 6, iOS 9.0.2, I had the beta update on my phone.

Actually, I think the subsequent responders are missing some key information that might help answer the original poster's question... It's fortuitous that you included the iOS version and the acknowledgement of the beta update, because this plays a key role in allocating the blame where blame is due.

When you accepted and agreed to the terms and conditions upon downloading and installing the beta update, you'll note there are several conditions that relate to the fact that beta software is inherently not safe for everyday use given that during the beta period, literally anything can happen to your device's internals and your data on the device.

In this case, dropping the phone, breaking the glass, and the glass becoming so sticky that it sticks to your fingers fall under the "literally anything can go wrong" condition. And since you've accepted the terms and conditions that warned you about this, it's definitely your fault. **If only** you'd not installed the beta software, then accident investigators might have been able to determine it was somehow the device manufacturer's fault. Sadly, now we'll never know.
