Q: Mini-DVI to DVI to S-Video
I was wondering if anyone had any experience with joining several video adapters together?
The situation:
I have a Macbook Pro, and it came with a DVI to VGA adapter. I also bought a DVI to S-Video adapter so I could plug my computer into the TV occasionally.
Now my partner wants to buy a Macbook and be able to plug it into the TV as well as give presentations from a projector. Well, I have all the adapters for VGA and S-Video from DVI.
So the question:
Will buying the Macbook's mini-DVI to DVI adapter will allow my DVI cables to work?
We're trying to avoid buying a mini-DVI to VGA adapter, mini-DVI to S-Video, and mini-DVI to DVI adapter for the Macbook. Thanks!
p/s if Apple had only put a DVI port on the Macbook... I wonder, besides being smaller, what use is a mini-dvi port besides being something to make you buy extra adapters?
