How to install Linux CentOS 6.2, 6.3, or 6.5 on 15" MacBook Pro Retina 10,1 (mid 2012) alongside OS X (dual boot)

I have a 15" MacBook Pro Retina 10.1 (mid 2012) with Mac OS X Mountain Lion.

I also need a computer running Linux CentOS v. 6.2, 6.3 or 6.5 "natively".

Can I use my MacBook without messing up my OS X system?

(I'm also trying to find out if the Apple sound card in the MBP 10.1 is ALSA compatible)

Thank you

MacBook Pro (Retina, Mid 2012), OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.5)
