i have an album saved in my photos that I'd like to send to a photographer to create a photo book for me. The album has a total of 148 pictures. Is there an option to send all of those photos to someone else (who's in a different state) at one time?

In theory you could combine all the photos with a zip app. Upload to the cloud, dropbox.com or box.com.
Possible zip apps:

That many photos would exceed the limits of virtually what every email provider allows, so you couldn't email them to him. Have you considered using DropBox?
