Connecting to the El Capitan download page??

I'm still having trouble trying to download El Capitan. It always opens my current version of iTunes instead of connecting to the download page. What gives?

iMac, Mac OS X (10.5.8)

You need to upgrade to 10.6.3 and then 10.6.8 before you can download El Capitan.
