Find my friends

Find my friends notification is not working. I've gone through all the basic settings and they're fine. This started after the new iOS update. Can anyone help?

iPhone 4S, iOS 5.1.1

Thanks for contributing to the Apple Support Communities.

If Find My Friends features aren't working after updating iOS, going through the settings was a good step to try first.

Since the settings checked out, next try the troubleshooting mentioned in Get help using Find My Friends.

HI Jeremy

I've done all of your suggestion and the notification still doesn't work

A bell icon appears beside the name that I set the notification for but it's not doing anything

It just disappear once my friend leaves the location

Can you check the IOS if that is the problem since it only started after the update

If notifications for Find My Friends still doesn't work after trying all of those steps, I'd recommend contacting Apple Support using one of the other methods on https://expresslane.apple.com/GetproductgroupList.action.
