iPod Nano 4th Generation Not Being Recognized by iTunes

A similar question has been asked before by someone else a few years ago, but got no response.

I own an iPod Nano 4th generation. I hadn't used it in a few years. Today I connected to my Mac (running the latest version of iTunes) and the Mac recognized the iPod.

I chose to Restore the iPod to its factory settings. In my Mac's attempt to restore the settings, I got an error message saying the restore didn't work. Now iTunes won't recognize when the iPod is connected to my Mac.

The iPod seems to be working fine, though there is now no content in it.

The iPod shows up in the Finder as a device named Untitled.

I have reset the iPod but that didn’t work.

Any help would be appreciated.
