I can't find what was wrong but my three fingers gestures had stopped working where as four fingers gestures are simply perfect. I use Macbook air with OS X El Capitan version 10.11. hoping someone can help me out.
MacBook Air (13-inch, Early 2014), OS X Yosemite (10.10.3)
System preferences > Accessibility > Mouse and trackpad on the left hand side > trackpad options and there you will get the three finger drag gesture settings... i got solution.. it solved.
