Weather App using wrong time

The Apple Weather App is using the wrong time when displaying the hour to hour information and the Sunrise, Sunset time. I'm in the central time zone and t's 5 hours ahead of the time showing on my iPhone. It appears to be using the UTC time instead of the local time zone.

This problem is not only on my phone but also my wifes phone.

I've already checked the "Date & Time" settings they are correct, Even thou I shouldn't have to since the time on the phone is correct.

So, is anyone else having this problem and does anyone know how to give Apple direct feedback/support on this app, since it isn't listing on the IOS support page?

iPhone 5s and 6 running current IOS 9.0.2.

Don’t touch that dial!

I lay awake last night thinking about the weather app having the wrong time for the Central Time Zone.

It occurred to me that the time given is Greenwich Mean Time. I even got up and looked up the time in London. It was one hour later than Greenwich Mean Time because Britain is daylight savings time. The British time was one hour later than the time in weather app.

This morning I checked my wife’s iPhone. It had the wrong weather time, and she is still on iOS 9.0.1. I asked several people in a fitness center and they reported that their iPhone weather apps had the wrong time. Some even reported that this started at the end of last week.

I think what has happened is that whoever maintains the data for Apple’s weather app took off the -5 adjustment for Central Daylight Time. So, the problem is not in your phone and no kind of reset will fix the problem. We’ll just have to wait for somebody in Apple to put the correct adjustment on Central Daylight Time.

Now I have to find Apple’s Feedback page and post the above to it.

I have exactly the same problem on my 5S with IOS 9.0.2. My wife's 5C also has the same problem. The times are exactly 5 hours ahead of the correct time. It only appears to be a problem for cities in the Central time zone. this began on Friday 10/16/15. Earlier today it corrected itself but now has gone back to the same problem. A coworker has the same problem. She is using Verizon but my wife and I are using AT&T. Any suggestions?

I restarted my iPhone by holding down the sleep/wake button and the home button at the same time until the Apple logo appeared.

At 16:47 CDT sunset is still at 23:12.

Oh yes, it shows windy weather for the next two hours. As I look out the window I can see that there is a strong wind.

The times for Tokyo are correct as are the times for Cleveland OH and Bradford ON, the last two are on EDT.

I just updated to iOS9.1 and no change. The time is still off by 5 hours in the Central Time zone. Also when I look at the list of cities I have stored for the Weather app the time shown on each city in the Central Time zone is the incorrect time by 5 hours, except the very first one which is my current location as determined by GPS. That time shown in the list of cities is correct, even though the hourly times shown in the weather app itself are off by 5 hours. Very strange indeed. By the way how did you report this problem to Apple? You mentioned earlier that you hope more people would report this problem to Apple. I would like to report the problem but I need to know how to do it. Just post how and I'll get right on it.

I'm a couple of years too late but just in case someone else comes along trying to resolve this problem like I did, I may have found a quick fix. All I had to do was delete the city that had the wrong time by swiping left and selecting delete. After I did that, I added it back and it had the correct time.

Edit: so I probably should have read through all 4 pages of comments before I posted this because someone has already discovered this.
