Q: Constant restarts after installing recent upgrades to 'iApps'
I've been running El Capitan for about a week without problems but after downloading and installing the recent upgrades to a number of the iApps I'm getting constant restarts after a menu-based shutdown. On restart a message box reads ' Your computer restarted because of a problem'. The only way to keep the computer shut down is by pressing and holding the power button. Any ideas on what gives?

It sounds from what you describe like your computer is getting some kernel panics when you shut down the computer causing it to restart, so it doesn't turn off unless you manually turn it off. I would start with the information in the following article to help with that:
