Apple website home "can't be found"

I have always had apple's website as my homepage but now it won't load. If I go to www.apple.com in the URL bar it brings up a page that says "The page you're looking for can't be found". I will attach a screen shot of what happens when I go to www.apple.com and here is the exact link that appears in the URL bar - http://www.apple.com/cgi-bin/redirect.ha . Any suggestions on what happened and how to fix it will be greatly appreciated. Thank You.

Click Develop and select "Empty Caches" from the dropdown.

Restart the computer.
