Hi there!
My girlfriend just updated her OS X to EI Capitan but now she find she cannot compile with Texmaker. Then she resorted to Texstudio and MacTex but none of them works. We tried solutions suggested in Stackexchange but we cannot find the file mentioned there. Is there anybody could help on this?

I am also trying to fix my TexShop.app after the El Capitan upgrade. You might try reading the MacTex webpage explaining the El Capitan change further down the page, and Schulz's MacTeX-2015 and El Capitan PDF there. Looking at it, it seems my best bet is to try reinstalling, since I've got TeXLive-2010 installed rather than TeXLive-2015 (according to Applications/TeX/What Is Installed.pdf). I'm currently downloading the software package there.
Ran into the same problem. I spend so much time to find any potential compatibility issues with my python tools that I completely forgot about tex. Just reinstalling as well. Really annoying this!
At the Apple folks around here: Can you not avoid these issues? This is really the only reason why I (and I guess many others) hesitate with OS updates. Just one firmware update without trouble at all...

The problem is there is no way that any OS can be made compatible with millions of different apps/processes. So, any/all app developers have the opportunity to test drive their apps with the new OS before it is publicly available to make their app compatible with the new OS version. That is what the developer betas are all about.
And, as mentioned, these are user to user forums.
