iTunes U content material download freezes

I am having a problem where sometimes content does not complete downloading - it just freezes near the end of a download.

If you cancel the download and try again the same thing happens.

Strange thing is - you can view a video stream but cannot download the whole file.

Then sometimes it just works.

I am behind a proxy server - but the issue is intermittent.
