When my iMac resumes from sleep and I try to login, I press one key on the keyboard a bunch of characters type across the screen at the login prompt.
I have to turn off my bluetooth keyboard, then turn it back on to be able to type accurately.
I have searched online and have not seen anyone report this issue.

I have the same problem.
Same Mac type. But turn off one on the keyborad does NOT fix the problem. I have to shut down (hold down power button for 5 sec) the mac.
I think that I have the same problem here, but with a MacBook Pro connected to a bluetooth apple keyboard. As the keyboard is only some months old, I start to believe that this problem starts with El Capitan.
Yep, I have the same kind of Mac and exactly the same problem. I thought it might be low batteries in the keyboard, but after I swapped them out it did it again. Once you reboot it goes away for a while, but happened again today. Looks like a El Capitan issue - since I also had no such problems before upgrading.
Same issue for me as well. Need this sorted by Apple, as is happening regularly and is not helping the i-Mac, when I effectively have to crash the machine 5-6 times per week.
