Q: How do I remove the Game Center app
I use to be able to remove Game Center from my computer using AppCleaner. AppCleaner no longer will remove Game Center from my computer after upgrading to El Capitan. It now says that the app is part of the operation system. I find Game Center to be a pesky piece of software that does not interest me which pops up on my phone and computer on occasion or when I want to play a game. This causes another step of shutting the app down. If there is not a way to delete this program then maybe one should reprogram. I know the operating system ran fine on Yosemite without Game Center, I ran it that way for years and I'm sure El Capitan should run fine without it as well.

I am guessing that some third party software that messes with the system is no longer allowed to run due to the new safety feature of el Capitan: System Integrity Protection:
About System Integrity Protection on your Mac - Apple Support
As you can see, pre-installed apps are in the category of items being protected, so the Appcleaner can't access them.
FWIW, I've never used it; neither do I use a slew of other pre-installed software, but I just ignore it and it does not bother me. Make sure it's not in Notifications center.
