MacBook Pro keeps restarting and beeping
Hi all,
Recently (about a week ago) my MacBook Pro 13inch 2012 started to randomly restart itself.
Since then it has been doing it continuously almost as soon as it turns back on and I have no idea why.
It is used for my schooling and is in perfect condition as far as I can tell. Never dropped it or anything.
What I have observed:
- Most of the time but not always green and/or purple blocks running vertically and spaced in equal collumns will appear before restarting.
- Very few times (twice) it has not restarted and instead beeped at me 3 times every 5 seconds which I have read is a ram problem but nothing should have caused that.
- I have found that if I tap to the left of the touchpad it seems to cause the blocks and a restart at times.
- If not the blocks I get a screen full of code and a restart.
- Sometimes I get the message on restart saying there was a problem but not always.
- If I move the screen back and forward it will also usually cause blocks and a restart.
If all seems to be going well for a little while eventually it will just restart with no blocks, code or anything. Just a restart and the apple with loading bar every time.
Please help as I have exams in a week and really need a fully functional Mac right now. Terrible timing..
Appreciate your time
David
