Hide iCloud downloads in iTunes without hiding them from your purchase history

Has anyone figured out a way to remove previously purchased iTunes files (that show up with the non-dashed iCloud download icon next to them) without 1) hiding them from your purchase history or 2) logging out of your account? I know these two "methods" work, but I do not want these duplicate files to show up unless I search for them in the iTunes store in order to intentionally download an original copy of the file (like if I lost or accidentally deleted the file). I do not use nor do I wish to use anything Apple Music related including iTunes Match.

Any help (not just telling me it can't be done) would be appreciated as this is really frustrating!
