small terminal window, notable to resize it

Recently whenever I open terminal I get a very small window, barely large enough to show the red gumdrop in the corner. I can't resize it with the little grabby thing in the lower right corner. It is so small that I can't see any text or anything in it. I have tried to delete terminal prefs and even the app itself. Dragged the prefs and app in from another computer and still no change.

Does anyone know how I can fix this?

Dual 1.8 G5 250G ATI 9600XT, iBook 1.33 Mac OS X (10.4.8)

This has come up several times before.

Quit Terminal.app then delete the file ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Terminal.plist

This is the file that holds the Terminal defaults. In most cases it's easier to trash it and revert to defaults than it is to try and edit the preferences to reset the window size.

Launch Terminal, select Terminal->Window Settings->Window and enter some reasonable dimensions. Quit Terminal and relaunch it. I have mine set at columns = 120 and rows = 45.
