Q: best backup export for fcp 10.2

I like to make an export of my project that is self-contained for me to keep on a back up drive.  It needs to be one that is very high quality so that if I ever need to reuse that project or parts of it I can import it back onto my timeline and edit with it at full quality (yes, this means it's now one compressed file, not all the individual clips).  Any recommendations with using the new 10.2?  I've used Compressor in the past but suppose I don't need to.  I do have the newest version of Compressor  too and can still go that route.  Thanks in advance.

When you archive a project, it is best to retain the original clips to retain maximum flexibility and quality for any future re-editing. That is, the clips that are either in the Original Media file in the library should be archived with the project in a library. You can't improve the quality of those clips, but you can lose quality by multi generations of compression. There is no need to use Compressor.

Thanks for your reply Russ!  By the way, I just visited Boston for the first time a few months ago.  Pretty amazing place.  My concern is I can't store endless huge amount of footage like that.  Some original media files I'll keep, but mostly I'm just going to keep a backup of the final edited project.  I really need to minimize space when creating backups.  It's not common for me to reutilize an old project anyway, it's more just in case I need to open it up and re-export a new version (either with added material or for a new use).  I do keep an export created for Vimeo already.  Is there a better export though?  I'm wondering if I should use the Master File export from FCP X, but don't know what codec to choose (again it needs to be self-contained as I won't be keeping all the footage).  Suggestions?  Thank you again.
