Sync your phone to icloud. your pictures will be there and you can access them anywhere you have Internet.

I Assume that you mean that you don't want the photos taking up a lot of space on the phone, but the phone doesn't have a hard drive. If you are actually talking about the space on the computer, copy the photos to an external drive and then delete them from the computer.

I think that your question could use a little clarification.

Hi Demo, apologies for the unclear question.  I am talking about the hard drive on my computer.  I was hoping that there would be a way to sync to iCloud (or some other app) and have the pictures never even go to my laptop hard drive.  I am OK (for now) with storage space on my iPhone as I still have 33G of space available on it.  What is your recommendation for the best way to do this?  Thank you in advance for your assistance.

I Am assuming here again that you re using either the iCloud Photo library or Photo Stream, because you can't sync photos to your PC using iTunes.

If you are using iCloud Photo Library, you can not delete the photos from your PC without deleting them everywhere. iCloud Photo library keeps your photos in sync across devices and while it provides a form of storage, it is not true in the cloud storage where you can delete photos from a device and store the photos in the cloud. Bottom line, if you use iCloud Photo Library, you have to turn it off on the computer or the photos will sync to the device.

IF you are using Photo Stream you must have the photos set to automatically download to the PC.

No matter what you decide, you might want to backup your photos to an external drive if you have one.

I was using SilverLight to download to my laptop; I think I'm just going to go with iCloud Photo Library and keep my photos in the cloud, then I can delete from my hard drive.
