The "currently typing" bubble doesn't show up in iMessage when someone is replying to me. I just recieve a message out of nowhere. How can I fix this?
iPhone 6, iOS 9.0.1
Theyre iMessages.
Ive gone to the messaging settings and turned everything on and off which didn't work, I also restarted my phone. I closed and restarted the messaging app. I closed all of the other apps I was on. thats about it
If a restart of the phone will not do it, then try a reset. That will not affect your data. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. The phone should reboot. See if that helps.
Are these iMessages, or are they regular SMS from non-iOS devices?
I know that bubble can be picky as to when it shows up. What troubleshooting have you tried?

It didn't work.
The last two steps for user troubleshooting are restore from backup and restore to factory. I'm not sure you would want to do this for this little thing. Up to you however.
