Q: iMac S.O.S. at boot up - how to fix EFI?

Hello,

I am working on an iMac. Currently, at boot up, it does nothing but give the S.O.S. chime at boot. I have read that this is caused by corrupted EFI. However, I do not know where to download EFI recovery files, or how to properly "burn" them to a disk to boot off. Any links/ideas?

Different computers use different versions, see > Firmware Restoration CD 1.8

Thank you very much. this helps. However, I cannot find the correct firmware. I have the iMac 7,1. is there any way to download firmware compatible with this model? thanks again!
