On my iphone, do I have to choose from iTunes listed or can I ask for a specific one & how/where?

I Don't understand the question and I'm guessing others might be confused as well. What exactly are you asking about? Choosing another version of iTunes?

Choose from iTunes listed means what to you?
I want country classic music and not what's listed when I go into music available on iTunes on my iphone & don't know how to get music that I want, not just their selections. For instance I want music by Sammi Smith, how do I select it to play it on my iphone.
I am still a little unclear. Are you using Apple Music as opposed to music that you downloaded yourself? Are you using the Radio in the Music App? There is a search feature in the Radio section. Tap the magnifying glass in the upper right corner.
I wish I could be more specific, but - I have an Apple iphone and wanted to download music or buy it in the Apple store, for the phone I thought. The selection for genre is only 'country' not 'country classics' - older country music is what I want. I was unable to find a song or album that was to my liking. I wanted it on the iphone, but considered getting some into my PC also. I don't know which digital product is gonna work best for me to listen to music, country classic music, not new country, which is loud. So, I guess my question is: how do I get country classics on my iphone if it isn't listed in the choices I can find when I search for music on the iphone? I hope I'm getting clearer with my explanation of what I want to do. Sorry if not, please tell me what else you need to know to help me, thank you, Trish
Thank you. I don't have an iPad, just the iPhone and Laptop. So use the iPhone to download? But would I pay where I downloaded from? That's obvious if you know what you're doing. But I don't. I've never done this before and the phone has me baffled enough. I'll try though. I'm getting there and appreciate your perseverance greatly. Trish
You can buy from anywhere you like.
Anything you buy on iTunes, from anywhere or any device can be put on any of your devices or computer that you like.
That's great & helpful, except I haven't gotten any music yet, so have nothing to transfer. iPhone (Apple store) doesn't have country classics I want, and I don't understand yet what exactly I need to do. I looked at what Demo showed, but I couldn't download anything and I don't know where to look for country classics I can pay for and download probably to my PC at this point. Not sure how to do it on iPhone. Not even sure even how to do it on PC, but am more familiar with internet ordering than iPhone ordering so intend to try that. Here's hoping. Sorry to be such a problem, but I believe if you don't ask even a stupid question, you don't find out anything. All this digital stuff is very confusing for us seniors who want our 'old' music. Thank you to all for help, Trish
Search for whatever song, artist, album you like and buy it, by clicking on the price or buy button.
OK, I got that far, but. Now I have to change my credit card # in iTunes. I talked to Apple support while ago & thought they put in correct # - guess not. So - How do I change cc#? And - can I put in an album or artist name or do I have to search entire list for something agreeable in country? And, how do I transfer what I buy elsewhere - PC - to iphone? I'm learning so bear with me. I'll be away all day so won't reply till later or Fri. Thanx any way, Trish
Do I have to search entire list in iTunes or can I put in artist, album I want? See other post - cc# is wrong, need to change it to. Many problems! Trish
This will explain how you can change your credit card in th iTunes/App Stores on your phone or on your laptop. I change cards once in a while and it is very easy to do.
Change or remove your Apple ID payment information in the iTunes Store - Apple Support
You can search by artist, song or album in the iTunes Store App. I told you it works the same way on the iPhone, iPad and also the iPod Touch. Here is a screenshot of the search that I did by entering Sammi Smith in the search field.
You can transfer your purchased music into iTunes on your PC Using these instructions.
You can also turn on automatic downloads for songs in the settings on you phone and in iTunes on your PC so that if you download music on one device, it will download to the other device.
Oh great, this is soo helpful. Thank you Demo very much. Hopefully I'll get thru this with flying colors! Thank you, Trish
I'm sure that you will be fine. If you have more questions, post back. Good luck!
Demo, I am very grateful to you & others who contributed info for me. How do I give you a 5 star thank you? I was successful in downloading several old country, like Keith Whitley (great) last night. But this am I had another question - how to play what I downloaded w/o clicking on 'play' each song. . ..You'll be proud of me (I hope) I figured it out. But now I have two other questions: How do I stop the music playing - I turned the phone off and it still continued, tried several other things, still playing. So I shut down the phone, and that worked. Also, I still need to ck on this, but will ask while I'm here - will the music I selected on iphone sync to the PC or do I need to sync it. Also there's something listed in my playlist I didn't order, can I get rid of it? So many problems!! But I am learning - the problem now is retaining what I learned. (Am loosing short-term memory sorry to say). Thank you all again, Trish
