Q: stop iphone contact and phone list sharing

My wife stared sharing itunes apple id with my account now the iphones are sharing contact lists and phone number lists. How do I stop this sharing between phones? Do I need to create a new Itunes Apple Id for her phone or what is the best process? My wifes phone as also lost all of her contact information is there a way to get it back?
