Oct 29, 2015 12:28 AM in response to jjlubranoby JanetLy,If the Preview doesn't meet your requirement, third party app is more suitable for you. I have been using the PDFCompressor, when i have to send a manual to customer, i always compress the PDF to small size, but the content is the same. You can download the free trial version, hope it helps.

Nov 1, 2015 6:32 AM in response to jjlubranoby thosem@gmail.com,The same kludgy workaround is necessary as in Lion and Yosemite:
1. Use ColorSync to make your new filter as usual.
2. Move it from /Users/YourUserName/Library/Filters to /Library/PDF Services
3. Howl at the moon about Apple making us do this!

Oct 13, 2016 11:00 AM in response to thosem@gmail.comby Adam F,Any ideas on why we'd need to put this in System/Library/PDF Services? It's odd that there's a PDF Services in the User library, but Preview doesn't see it.
