Safari Issues with Kaplan Courses

I have paid for the MCAT prep class from Kaplan. There was not an issue with Safari until the latest course where upon the black footer at the bottom of their courses now loads in the middle of the page no matter what course I choose.

In calling Kaplan they told me to use Google's Chrome 😢 which I don't hate but why should I switch between browsers just to access my class.

I was told the issue is Safari and Apple. Upon opening the class in Chrome, it worked fine.

Can someone please fix this? Apple die-hards are everywhere and none of us like PC based programs like Chrome.

That is all. Thank you!

Chrome for Mac is actually a very good browser. Since Kaplan is suggesting you use Chrome, you may be better off doing that.

But you can certainly try troubleshooting Safari.

From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Privacy tab then click: Remove All Website Data

Quit then relaunch Safari to test.

If that didn't help, it may be a Safari extension or plug-in that's causing conflict with the way their website renders data.

From the Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab. Uninstall one extension at a time then quit and relaunch Safari to test.

If it's not an extensions issue, try troubleshooting third party plug-ins.

Back to Safari > Preferences. This time select the Security tab. Deselect: Allow Plug-ins.. Quit and relaunch Safari to test.

If that made a difference, instructions for troubleshooting plugins here.

"Can someone please fix this"

This being a user to user forum, only moderated by Apple employees, the only thing we can do is make suggestions. Apple rarely peruses these forums.

However, you can provide Apple - Safari - Feedback

I have no problem using Flash. Try troubleshooting.

Open System Preferences > Flash Player then select the Advanced tab.

Click Delete All under Browsing Data and Settings

Now empty the Safari cache.

From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Advanced tab.

Select: Show Develop menu in menu bar

Now click Develop from the menu bar. From the drop down menu click Empty Caches.

Quit then relaunch Safari then try a video.

Thanks for tips on clearing history (I'm an IT person).

My comment was directed to Apple to fix Safari so it works with Adobe Flash plug-ins so Mac users do not have to switch to Chrome or IE.

As Mac becomes more common in the business world (IBM just started getting rid of PCs and going to full Mac), I suspect other companies may follow.

Not sure if Apple developers read here but posted it for that reason.

Thank you again!
