My iPod Classic won't sync on iTunes 12, which is running on El Capitan 10.11.1

I recently updated my MacBook to El Capitan. Now whenever I plug in my iPod to the laptop it won't show at iTunes . First,I tried disk mode,i can saw it in finder as a disk. but it can't be found in iTunes.MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Late 2013). Then i use my friends macbook pro with 10.10 os x. (He didn't update the system).It can be found at OS X 10.10,works great. At last,i tried windows10 iTunes.its also works perfect. How can i do? help me, Thanks

I had this problem too, but with my iPod Shuffle. The versions of Shuffle now being sold by Apple requires iTunes 12.2 or higher. I could not restore my Shuffle using my MacBook Pro running El Capitan. I had to switch to my Mac Pro which is still running Snow Leopard. But after I did a restore there, i could update it using my MacBook.
