Apple still did not fix the issue with mail. Just updated and now since the initial update to El Capitan my mail does not work. Forced to fine something that will work as Apple seems to not have the ability fix their bugs they introduce with each upgrade.

Two issues still (actually three where one has a work around). Every time there is an update the smtp settings no longer work and mail can not be sent. Mail can be received. One has to delete the email account and recreate it.

The curser stops working in mail after a few minutes making navigation around mail almost impossible. One has to shut down mail and restart it. Then again. And again...

The third issue with a work around is Mail does not offer the option to create an imap email account. The work around is to try to create a fictitious email account and when the error comes up change the settings and imap is presented as an option.
