Not dinging or vibrate when I get text or emails

How notifications behave depends on the status of your devices. In order to bring notifications to your attention as soon as possible:

- If your iPhone is unlocked, you will receive notifications on your iPhone instead of on your watch.

- If your iPhone is locked or asleep and your watch is unlocked and on your wrist, you will receive notifications on your watch.

- If your watch is locked or has Do Not Disturb enabled, notifications will go to your iPhone.

Also check also that your related settings are correct:

• In the Apple Watch app on your iPhone, go to: My Watch > Messages - check your settings.

  For example, you might set this Custom and then, under Alerts, enable each of Show Alerts, Sound and Haptic.

• In the Apple Watch app on your iPhone, go to: My Watch > Mail - check your settings.

  For example, you might set this to Custom, then under Alerts select Show Alerts and also tap on your email account to enable Sound & Haptic.

• In the Apple Watch app on your iPhone, go to: My Watch > Sounds & Haptics - check there that:
  • The Alert Volume selector is where you want it to be;
  • Silent Mode is not enabled;
  • The Haptic Strength selector is in the central or right hand position.
  • Prominent Haptic is enabled (to get pre-announcements of common alerts).

One person wont ding

I have the mute button up and the volume all the way up but all other people I text it makes the sound but for one person it does not? how can I change this?

Checked settings and Note (default) is checked... ;/ any ideas?
