iMovie 10.1 problems - missing movies associated with events

I just upgraded to El Capitan 10.11.1 and have iMovie 10.1 and had my iMovie library on a separate hard drive. All my events show up and several of the media files associated with them, but all the movies I created with those events are now missing.

Does anyone know where the movie files associated with the events went to, or what happened. This is a huge problem for me. I had several movies part-way done, and now all that work is gone...?

I have the same problem. My movies are not on a hard drive, but actually contained on my iMac. I had one Event with 3 different movies/projects within that event. Now with 10.1, I still have the Event and all the individual footage, but I no longer see my 3 separate movies I had made. Luckily I had already exported them after making them, but I want to know where they went.

iMovie 10.1 changed how they file and organize movies/events/libraries. It took me a while to find my movies too when I first opened it. You are likely under the "Media" page. Click on "Projects" and you should see all your movies but they are no longer able to be filed into events like we had before. Depending upon what screen you are on, you should be able to find "Projects" either in the middle or the left most side of the top of the screen.
