Q: GPS problem iPhone 6S

I have problems with my iPhones gps to locate satellites using Waze, NAVIGO and maps all having the same problem. Use to have a 4, 4s, 5, 5s, 6 now 6S and during the same line of travel I have never lost contact with satellites. I'm currently running iOS 9.1. I have restarted, re installed, re booted. But get the same result. Do you have any good tips on what to do?

Try each of you to write Web pages that deal with writing about mobile phones. At attempt to write an article about this issue - I wrote about 5 different media in the Czech Republic, so we'll see if this is a problem start talking more.

I'm an Uber Driver in Orlando Florida and having this exact same issue. I'm on Sprint and my new 6S constantly looses connection while on my Uber trips. The issue has even caused my trips to seem as though they were shorter and causing me to lose money. The only way I've been able to get it to work is to reboot the phone once the GPS looses connection with the Satellite.

I will try disabling LTE next time I drive and work Uber...but really this shouldn't be something I need to do. I need LTE for better connections throughout the City.

I did make a complaint to Apple and hope they fix it soon!

I experience very inaccurate tracking in Runtastic, anyone else? I will deactivate LTE for my next run. Hope that helps.

I also have this problem intermittently. Already replaced my iPhone6s bought in Germany (after replacement its better). Restart sometimes help. LTE is enabled. Carrier T-Mobile CZ. Hope they will fix it soon, because I am using GPS a lot.

    Hello!

I tried another simcard from a diffrent carrier with 4G and ironically MAPS worked without any problems this morning. Very strange.

    Old carrier = 3

Compare the LTE bands used by the 2 different carriers. It may be that certain LTE bands are causing interference with the GPS signal.

Yes that can be the case but it works normal with my old iPhone 6 Plus. This issue only started with the New iPhone 6S Plus. But as I said before when I tried another simcard from a diffrent carrier with 4G it worked normally wich is ODD.

    Tjena!:-)

they had no solution except turning off 4g when navigating, they have had two other people with the same problem.

It sounded like apple were aware of the problem and it will be solved in an update of iOS.

Hopefully on tuesday was the last thing the guy at Apple Store told me.

I called the Apple Support and they asked me to do a Clean Install and try + they did a diagnostic on my iPhone remotley + true iTunes and send it to the engineers at Apple. So far they dont know what the problem could be.

Today I'll tried with an Tele2 4G card and It worked perfectly Im gonna try it one more time when Im driving home later today from work.

But my normal carrier is TRE /  3   and Apple thought maybe it could be the 4G at "3" that makes the GPS to loose signal but it feels strange.

It works normally with 3 on my old iPhone 6 Plus.

Hopefully they solve it with an iOS update.  But if they are talking about the iOS 9.2 It will not solve this. There is no information about any GPS bug fixes in that iOS version.

I had a strange map on waze, both on iphone 6s and on ipad air 2.

It did work before on the ipad with ios 9.0.

after disabling lte or 4g it works perfectly with 3g. I'll hope ios 9.2 beta 3 contains the fix. (Maybe ios 9.1.1   )
