Oct 22, 2015 10:29 PM in response to Mark Sealeyby tappingseeker,It's been happening for days, it wasn't a server thing. Also it worked fine for some OSX updates (also listed in App Store), but not the ones for the programs I mentioned.

Oct 22, 2015 10:39 PM in response to tappingseekerby ulli1224,I have got the same problem, tried a lot of things, but no solution. If I use wrong password apple is responding with corresponding message, but with right password App Store software hangs and has to be killed by activity monitor.

Jan 24, 2016 9:47 AM in response to tappingseekerby gertiefromartock,I cannot get Macbook to let me download updates either. I have two MacBooks. I use one as my main one and one to store photos. How do I get Apple to acknowledge that I should be able to download. I tried to download on my second Macbook and it too won't let me cos I presume the previous owner, my sister, already used hers but she cannot use computers any more. I already have an apple ID and password but neither Macbook will recognise it. What can I do please?
