How do I uninstall legacy Java 6 from El Capitan?

Hello,

I have installed Java 6 from this place: Java for OS X 2015-001

Anybody knows how to uninstall it after I don't need it anymore?

Hi thisisjjs,
I understand that you don't want to use Java 6 on your Mac. Let's go over how to to take care of this for you.
What you can do is disable the Java SE 6 applet from opening by opening Terminal and copy and pasting the code outlined below. Once you do that, you will want to download the latest version of Java to ensure that the newest takes over. For more details, take a look at the article below.

The following steps will undo the above commands and restore Java 7 in OS X Lion and later.

  1. Disable Java SE 6 Web Start opening:

    sudo ln -sf /System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework/Versions/Current/Commands/javaws /usr/bin/javaws

    • Enter this command, then press the Return or Enter key:
    • When prompted, enter your administrator password, then press the Return or Enter key.
  2. Re-enable the Java 7 applet plug-in by
downloading and reinstalling the latest version of Oracle Java 7 JRE.

Have a good day
