Q: AirPlay: music not playing over home & car speakers (but other sounds do)
Using iPhone 6S with iOS 9.1, 128 GB storage with 95 GB still available, iCloud music library is switched on and 'use mobile data' is also switched on.
In the Music app, I can select my airplay options (i.e., at home Apple TV and in car Audi speaker system), song shows on phone as playing (time ticking along...) and when switching back to iPhone you hear the song playing fine. However, over the AirPlay options the music can't be heard. To make it even stranger: other noises like message alerts and Siri can be heard fine over Airplay - just not the music. And it's not the problem that the AirPlay icon is missing - it's always there and easily selectable.
Already tried restarting (multiple times), upgrading the OS software, closing Whatsapp (old problem I had with my former iPhone 5S - that music wouldn't play over AirPlay if Whatsapp was open?!?!), closing ALL other apps, nothing seems to work.
Any advice anyone? Driving is becoming so very boring
