iOS 9.1 unable to install update

Try updating using iTunes on your computer.

I tried to update it from iTunes and now my iPhone stuck on recovery mode and can't restore or update..

Make sure that there is no security software running in the background.

Like norton or kaspersky. Temporarily disable them.

1. Open Windows Firewall by clicking the Start button , clicking Control Panel, clicking Security, and then clicking Windows Firewall.
2. Click Turn Windows Firewall on or off. ...
3. Click Off (not recommended), and then click OK.

Then try doing the update via iTunes.

still not working

I found the problem after contacting apple. My touch id wasn't working. when a hardware is broken apple won't let you to update your iPhone.

Had the same problem. Typical apple rubbish. It will be a LONG time before I choose to run another IOS update!

Update... I ended up trying to install the 9.1 update on my Mac via iTunes. That failed at around 50% into the install. Tried it on my PC...same issue. Called Apple Care and they told me I had to restore my phone...I didn't think much of it since I had everything backed up so we tried and that and....FAIL AGAIN! I ended up getting an error (53) which ended up being a hardware issue. My phone had to completely be replaced.

I'm not sure if the update caused the issue or was just a symptom of a hardware failure but never the less, it was a hardware issue where my phone had to be replaced. If you are having this issue then it might be the same thing

i cant update my iphone 6 plus ios 8.4.1 to 9.1 always an error occured installing update ***. what should i do. 😟

Is it connected to WiFi and do you have enough storage on your iPhone to install the update?

I have the same problem, my touch-id is broken and I am unable to install the update. Did you find a solution for your problem?

If the home Button has been changed/ or damaged. there is no resolution for this issue. the touch id is specific to each device/ serial number. if it has not but changed or open by a 3rd party. We might be able to fix it. We advise you go to an Apple Store for it to be reviewed.
